Nicole Maniez, MAOM, Lic Ac, earned her Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She is Board Certified and licensed to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in Massachusetts by the Board of Medicine Committee on Acupuncture. Nicole completed externships at Boston Medical Center in the pediatric department, Winchester Hospital, Dimmock Health Center, and detox programs through the Victory Programs. Nicole is credentialed with Harvard Pilgrim insurance plans and is on the Board of Directors for the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Society of Massachusetts. Nicole volunteers for Lucy's Love Bus, a non-profit bringing holistic health to children with cancer, Veteran's Acupuncture Care, offering free treatments to vets, and yogaHOPE offering yoga to under-served women in recovery.
Asian medicine provides an effective and gentle approach to healing and restoring balance in the body and mind. Dynamic effects are achieved with little to no side effects. Nicole has a gentle touch that treats the root of disorder through an energetic approach, balancing physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of each individual. Patient education and empowerment are the foundation for success. Nicole has a special interest in treating women’s concerns, pediatrics, emotional concerns and pain. She is certified in Childbirth Education through Lamaze®. She has also completed a workshop in pre- and post-natal yoga with OmBirths.
Nicole completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at South Boston Yoga and a YogaKids Foundations course. Nicole leads yoga classes in the Boston Public School System and has created a yoga curriculum for the Conservatory Lab Charter School, focusing on injury prevention for the budding muscians at the school.
Nicole runs an inspiring program for girls age 10-14 in the Boston area. CompassionistaGirl incorporates yoga, art and self-expression to build self-esteem and help girls make healthy choices.
In her free time, Nicole loves being outdoors with her family, being humbled by amatuer bike racing, learning the violin, and watching her daughter grow. |
