PEDIATRICS

Our children are precious gifts to us. Watching them suffer with illness is difficult. Asian Medicine has been safely helping children feel better for thousands of years. It is a gentle and effective treatment method that is appropriate for acute and chronic conditions, and for prevention. We treat babies from a few days old to older children in their teens.

When treating children, various modalities are used including non-insertive acupuncture, gentle insertive acupuncture, cupping, tui na (a massage-like technique), and herbal and dietary therapy. Children not only benefit from the curative and holistic nature of Asian medicine, but many times we see children's vitality and spirit blossom. Acupuncture and herbal medicine can help children move gracefully through the many transitions and challenges they face as they grow.

Pediatric Asthma Project Mission Statement:

“To reduce the impact of asthma on children and families in the Boston area through traditional Asian medicine practices including acupuncture, with a particular focus on the disproportionate impact of the disease on low income and/or minority populations.  To exemplify how acupuncture can be used in conjunction with conventional therapies to lessen the symptomatology of asthma and lessen the usage of prescription drugs and their side effect.”

If you know someone under the age of 15 who is affected by asthma, please let thier parents or guardians know about this project. They may be eligible to receive reduced rate or free treatments.
